When the Usual Answers Are Not Enough

Have you ever wondered why the peace you were searching for still felt just out of reach? Maybe you read the recommended book, listened to good advice, prayed, waited, and tried again-- yet something inside still felt unsettled. The words may have sounded right, but they did not reach the place in you that needed healing and truth.

In these moments, the questions become personal: Where do you turn when your heart feels tired? Who understands the ache of feeling lost or unfulfilled? How do you respond when simple answers are not enough?

The Beginning of My Search

Over the years, I have heard these questions rise again and again-- sometimes spoken aloud, but often simply felt. Two years ago, I made a quiet decision to stop running from my own questions and begin facing them with courage.

There is a saying that when the student is ready, the teacher will appear. For me, that proved true. A teacher entered my life, and together we began exploring what it means to trust that answers can come through faith, reflection, and right action.

The Relationship that Changes Everything

If you have wrestled with similar questions, please know this: you are not alone, and you are not broken. There is something precious within you waiting to be acknowledged, honored, and lived out loud.

I discovered that healing and self-discovery begin with the relationship we have with ourselves. That relationship asks for honesty when honesty is uncomfortable, openness when openness feels risky, and truth when truth requires us to grow.

Living truthfully cannot depend on the approval of others. Real peace begins when we remember that our worth was never meant to be voted on by anyone else.

What It Means to Live On Purpose

As my journey unfolded, connecting with my life's purpose helped me understand the discomfort I had been carrying. The more I acknowledged, accepted, and began living "on purpose", the more I felt a deep and steady peace rise within me.

That peace remains with me, even when challenges arise. It reminds me that I am connected to my Higher Power and that my Creator will never leave me alone. One childhood song, Royal Telephone, still comforts me with that same message: I am never truly alone.

Your Invitation to Take the Next Step

Now I invite you to consider your own giant step. It does not have to be dramatic. Sometimes the most powerful step is the quiet decision to stop hiding, ask for help, forgive yourself, or believe that your life still holds beautiful possibilities.

Seek understanding in quiet moments of meditation, prayer, or reflection. Give yourself permission to accept who you are right now, because acceptance creates the safe place where meaningful change can begin.

If there is something you want to strengthen, heal, or enhance, make the decision and follow through with compassion. Seek support if you need it. Trust that you carry a gift that was not given by accident and cannot be lived by anyone else.

Instead of making your work your life, consider making your life your work. Dare to dream. Walk forward with faith, even if your steps are small. Every honest step toward yourself is also a step toward the purpose God placed within you.

You are worthy of peace. You are capable of growth. You are not too late, too lost, or too far away to begin again. Take the step-your purpose is waiting for your yes.

With Love, Peace, and Harmony,

Cheryl E. Armstrong
